X-rays? Yes! The treatment plan your dentist at home set up for you? Yes! Pictures of your teeth from the front, from the side, from the inside, from the back and from any angle possible? Yes, yes!
All of these are great tools for our doctors to plan out your treatment and give you all your options and give you a quote.
  2. TELL YOUR BANK YOU WILL BE TRAVELLING AND TO EXPECT CHARGES FROM COSTA RICA.
This way you can avoid any hassles making all your payments in case your bank has the protocol of blocking international purchases. It is also helpful to know about fees your bank charges for the use of ATMs, debit or credit cards internationally.
  3. CHECK YOUR TRAVEL DOCS
Make sure you and the people travelling with you have valid passports for 6 months after the date you are travelling. Often passengers are not allowed to travel if their passports are not valid for the following 6 months. Check the expiration date before you purchase your flight.
Also, travel insurance can give you peace of mind in case of unexpected events. If your luggage gets lost, if there are poor weather conditions and your flight gets cancelled or if there are any kinds of delays, your insurance can be very helpful.
  4. BRING ALL IMPORTANT PERSONAL ITEMS, INCLUDING MEDICATIONS
If you use special products for your health like vitamins or prescription medications, creams or sunblock, make sure to have those with you and to bring more than enough for your visit.
  5. PREPARE FOR THE WEATHER
When visiting Costa Rica, it is always a good idea to pack things like jackets or windbreakers as well as cool clothes. Waterproof clothes or rain coats are also good ideas in case you want to go on tours, as well as sunblock and hats, swim suits, tennis shoes, sandals and sunglasses.
You can also check the website: https://www.accuweather.com to see what the weather will most likely be during your visit. Simply type in Santa Ana, Costa Rica.
  6. WHAT ELSE?
Well, there will be a lot to see in case you can take the time to go on some tours, so pack your camera and research any topics that may interest you the most. You can also ask our patient coordinators what they suggest or tell them about your hobbies and likes so they can steer you in the right direction.
